A revamped neoclassical mansion with stunning vistas.
Modern houses come in different shapes and styles, but non of these styles can beat the timeless elegance of a neoclassical mansion. Villa Emerald is a stunning 1840 manse that went through a sensitive renovation that brought the past and the present together without compromising the house's timeworn panache. The architect restored the elaborate plasterwork that adorns the exterior and then dressed the surfaces in pastel colours that reflect the style of the era and allow the details to stand out. The verandas were then decked and fitted with sitting and dining arrangements and an outdoor jakuzzi, all with breathtaking views to the caldera and the Aegean expanse.
Inside the house, the muted palette brings focus to the elaborate architectural elements. The decoration is classic with touches of modern that add a fresh look to the spaces. The bedrooms are minimally ornamented to create a soothing atmosphere. All around the house, tall windows invite the vistas in and fill the room with natural light. The ground and upper level main bedrooms open to private verandas with sweeping views.
